Dah Habis Belajar

Finally after 6 consecutive years… aku habis belajar. Banyak yang aku rindu. Aku rindukan maktab. Masa FC, habis kelas masing-masing tido. Haha..macam kata Zarin, benda yang paling dia rindu masa kat UPM dulu adalah tido petang kat maktab. Petang-petang, dalam pukul 5.45 – 6.00 p.m., mula la menapak keluar. Isi perut. Jalan-jalan sampai penat, sebab mendaki bukit kat maktab. Lalu antara dua padang. Ramai pakcik-pakcik PKPG PJ yang tak sedar diri. Haha… agaknya tu memang typical budak PJ kot. Dari stok-stok KDPM sampai la PKPG, sume nyer hamsap. Malam-malam kalau rajin stadi. Tapi memang ramai yang tak nak merajinkan diri. Busy pun bila nak hantar assignment. Alahai..budak-budak lagi masa tu. FC lg…
First year degree pun xde beza sangat dr masa FC. Memang tak de kesedaran sivik tol!
(Gambar menunjukkan kenangan bersama Abg Ed. Dalam gerimis manja, kami bergambar bersama. Abg Ed dengan geramnya berkata "Because all of you, I've to be an ugly person today"- baca: Abg Ed memang anti dengan orang yang pijak rumput hehe..)
Second and third year degree. Time ni dah masuk UPM. Univeristi Putri Malaysia. Sebabnya ramai perempuan. Huhu…tak caya tengok aja la coursemates aku. 40 girls and 12 boys… memang dah nak pupus.
Time ni la banyak benda yang aku buat. Tempat lepak utama, Mid Valley. Walaupun aku pegi MV hampir tiap-tiap minggu, tak tau nape aku mesti sesat. Nape ntah, sama la macam kalau aku pegi City Square (CS). Klu x g MV pun, mesti g KLCC. Bukannye kaya sangat, tapi sebab suka melepak kat Kinokuniya. Kalau MV pulak, aku lepak kat MPH. dok kat situ sampai malam pun takpe sebab dapat baca buku free. Hahaha.. barang free memang seronok.
Teks best lak tu, dari Faisal Tehrani (FT). Pas tu yang berlakon lak Ludinata, ex fellow K6. Alahai... bila lagi aku dapat jumpa dia. (tak tau kenapa aku boleh minat Ludinata sejak aku sekolah lagi… pelik nye.harap-harap aku ada peluang nak mintak autograph dari dia! Hehe). Tapi yang pasti, anak Ludinata ni memang comeyl habeshhhh… Izz Hakimi Hiroshi.
Opss..sebelum terlupa, aku rindu nak minum Mocha Freez kat kafe Kolej Serumpun. Minuman yang bisa trigger migraine aku. Nghahaha…
My Final year degree. Masuk la maktab balik. Blok baru dah nampak buruk, tapi still di panggil blok baru. Dah tak de yang best sangat. Masa final sem, hidup memang kelam kabut, harubirukundang hidup. Tapi, kenangan seminggu terakhir itu sangat mengesankan. KJ yang berbudi pun pencen. Thanks a lot Miss Loh! Abang ‘B’ yang beracun pun kitaorang bagi hadiah. Kalau tengok kad yang kitaorang bagi kat dia tu mesti dia sumpah kitaorang habis-habis! Tapi takpe…kitaorang dah cabut dulu… haha… Abang ‘B’ memang tetap Abang ‘B’…. dalam mimpila budak-budak TESL dia sayang…
Pejam celik pejam celik dah habis belajar. Tapi kenangan tu akan tetap di ingatan. Hari-hari awal di maktab buruk tu..(yang mengerikan) dan hari-hari terakhir yang mengharukan.
Seperti kata Miss Prema, “we will always have soft spot for you guys. Because you are our first born. Our first baby”. Yup, and we also face the hardest, most difficult things throughout the six years. But, that’s what makes us now.
Terima kasih kenangan. Terima kasih pada budi. Terima kasih kawan- teman- lawan. Terima kasih pada pensyarah-pensyarah yang tak jemu membimbing (ada jugak yang menengking). Terima kasih pengalaman.

Kronologi Sebelum dan Semasa Jadi Cikgu...

9 Julai 2008
Aku menanti. Semua motor yang lalu aku dengar bunyinya macam motor posman. Aku penasaran.

12 Julai 2008
Aku dapat surat. Suruh turun JPNJ 17 Julai. Turun la nanti.

14 Julai 2008
Dua missed called. Masa tengah siang ikan, aku jawab telefon. Orang PPDS telefon.
"Dah dapat surat panggilan? Jangan lupa datang JPNJ 17hb ni"
Aku mesti turun. Mana boleh tidak.

15 Julai 2008
Aku turun JB. Berhenti kat Terminal Larkin, solat dan makan roti Nazih. Terus ke JJ Tebrau. Beli refill pen UNIC. Masa tunggu refill, salesboy tu tanya aku, "Cikgu ke ni?". Sah, dah ada cop mohor KPM kat dahi aku.

16 Julai 2008
Turun JPNJ. Masa nak balik, baru perasan beg dalam kereta kawan. Beg aku balik rumah atok semula. Aku berlenggang balik daerah S.
Turun kereta, lintas jalan, daki tangga. Aku menyumpah dalam hati, "Tak de orang yang pernah lalu tangga ni ke?"
Jumpa pengetua. Aku dah tau perangai dia sejak aku masuk bilik dia. Macam Ms L. Apa nak buat. "SAYA YANG MENURUT PERINTAH"

18 Julai 2008
Kena marah dengan pengetua sebab tak masuk kelas. Bukan salah aku. BUKAN SALAH AKU!!! Aku dapat jadual lama. Masuk kelas, budak tak faham bahasa. Kalau Bahasa Malaysia yang aku gunakan pun mereka masih tak faham, apatah lagi Bahasa Inggeris.

Ya
Ya
YA!

Aku guru Bahasa Inggeris. Welcome to the harshness reality of life. I have to bear with this principle for only-God-knows how many years.

Sumpah Anak Watan

Yesterday, when I cleaned up the cupboard in my room I come across something that I do not expect to see. A poem. Yes, a poem that I recited during a competition when I was in Standard 6. Such a long time, 12 years... Here is the poem, entitled ‘Sumpah Anak Watan’ by Adi Badiozaman Tuah. [read, what a name!]

Teman,
buat kesekian kalinya,
kita titis air mata darah,
kita hembus nafas panas api.

Bersama bulan bintang,
ke gunung kita,
ke hutan bersama,
kita patah duri beracun,
terlalu lama menusuk daging.

Dan kalian di hutan,
yang ketagih pada kibaran bendera merah,
ayuh! putar haluan,
kembali ke pangkal jalan.

Anak pribumi,
kira berdegil batu hatinya,
buat kesekian kalinya,
kita titis air mata darah,
kita hembus nafas panas api.
kita bakar mereka, dengan api yang mereka nyala sendiri.

Back than, I never know or realize why I like this poem so much. Actually, I still like this poem. For some reason, I can sense some energy in this poem. The spirit to fight for your country. What an interpretation at the age of 12! Maybe, that’s why my minor is literature, for I have had the love and passion towards it since I was in primary.

If I’m not mistaken, I took this poem for a book either “Kelapa Nan Sebatang’ or ‘Keris Laksamana Bentan’. I borrowed it from a friend who sat next to me in class.

Another thing that I found yesterday is my notes for Social Studies during my Foundation Course years. It is a part from a chapter entitled Evaluating and Improving Relationship. Read it in my next post.

16th April 2008

How should I express myself… after 2 months plus my mum passed away.
Sometimes I feel sad, sometimes I don’t. Don’t get me wrong. It is not that I don’t love her. The prove is, for the past 2 months plus, I don’t even have the courage to write this post. Yes, sometimes I cried. Once when I was in the kitchen. I read the letter that my father sent to my mum. I was 4 years old then. The letter recalls so many memories until I decided to throw it away. If I keep it, I’ll cry even more.

There’s a lot of thing that I haven’t got the opportunity to learn from her. Especially cooking. See, I don’t even know how to fry mee. Embarrassing huh?
At least I still know how to cook, I still can survive with my little cooking skill. Once, my father praised me. He said that my ‘kuah pindang’ tasted like the one that my mum used to cook.

Still there is a lot of thing missing

My mum does not have the opportunity to see me finish studying.
My mum does not have the opportunity to see me working.
My mum does not have the opportunity to see me graduate

I always told myself, that never in my life that I expect to lose my mum at the age of 24.

When she was alive, she was sick. Every time I came home, I’ll do anything that makes her happy. But, there is one thing that I can’t do. Each time I have to go back to JB or Semenchu, I never have the guts to turn my back to say Assalamualaikum or even to wave at her. I’m just scared that I will cry. Now, there is nothing that I can do.

The night before she passed away, I really want to call home. But I delayed it, as I’ll be observed the next day. I just don’t want to transfer my worriedness to her.

Maybe that’s my biggest regret.

The main point is, if you love somebody, especially your family members, tell them. You might now know what will happen next. You might regret that you don’t tell them how much you love them or they mean to you. You might regret it later. For those who are not staying with their family, make sure you always contact them. A short phone call will do.

Maybe there’s nothing to say, but a simple story about your cat deliver 5 beautiful little kittens will cherish you up. Try it. Just take your handphone and make a call. It is a miracle when sometimes you think that you have a lot of problems but all will cast away when you hear their voices. Believe me. It always works for me.

Appreciate what you have, before they are gone.

Kerana 'Jaket'

Hari tu... pergi pasar. Silap bagi arahan. Last-last kena siang ikan sendiri.
Sumer budak hostel tau camne rupa ikan cencaru. Tak kenal...? Nama glamernyer ikan jaket. Nak makan kena bukak 'baju' dia dulu...
Part nak 'bukak' jaketnye time menyiang ikan tu memang bukan filed of expertise aku. So, kena la pilih menu yang sesuai untuk masak ikan tu...

Alahai ikan jaket...

Pikir punya pikir, aku pun amik keputusan untuk masak ikan bakar@barbeku. Padahal aku bukannye penah masak camtu. Even masa arwah mak aku hidup pun dia tak penah buat...

Selak punya selak...jeng jeng jeng... aku jumpa majalah Saji (yang aku memang tak penah minat nak baca). Belek punya belek, jumpa resepi ikan bakar. Apa lagi...bersiap sedialah kau wahai ikan!!!

Ayah makan. "Hmmm...boleh la makan. Kira lepas la untuk first timer."

Layan jer...
